Sunderland publisher Found signs more than 100 cookery creators in 2025

The company turns influencers’ online recipes into books, with one debut title selling more than 17,000 copies within weeks.

Cookery book from Found

Sunderland publisher Found has turned dozens of cooking content creators in the UK and US into published authors.

The company takes recipes that home cooks share with their online followers and turns them into stylish, easy-to-follow books.

In 2025 it signed more than 100 creators across the US and UK, with many of them going on to make life-changing amounts.

Found works with creators to turn their videos into written recipes alongside high-quality photography so followers can cook the dishes at home. Creators’ only commitment is to promote the book to their audience, and they receive a percentage of every sale.

Michelle Coughran lives in a trailer as her husband is always travelling for his job. She began posting recipes online to pass the time. Her straightforward style attracted millions of views, and pre-orders for her first book, In the Bowl, were so high that they crashed Found’s website.

Within weeks of launch she has sold more than 17,000 copies, which she says would not have happened without Found.

Florida-based Melissa Kauper has also done well enough to publish a second book, Make It Festive All Year Round.

Louise Stephenson, managing director of Found, said: “Since day one, Found has disrupted the normal route to publishing a book.”

“We cut out the agents, the publishing houses and all the middle men and work directly with the creators, which means we can bring their books to market in a fraction of the time a more traditional route would.”

She added: “Some of our creators have had unbelievable success. They’ve been able to buy houses, give up their full time jobs and literally change their lives for the better.”

As well as cookery titles, Found publishes lifestyle, wellbeing and health content from creators. It is also exploring how it could work with influencers who do not yet have the required number of followers but still want to be published.

“We have some very exciting plans for 2026 and are looking forward to expanding the Found offering every wider,” Stephenson said.
