Rise at Seven leaves Sheffield and makes Manchester its global HQ

The search-first content agency has merged its two northern offices into a 100-person space on Princess Street.

Rise at Seven

Rise at Seven is leaving Sheffield and tripling its presence in Manchester, which becomes the agency’s global headquarters.

The independent search-first content agency, founded in Sheffield seven years ago, has combined its two northern offices into a single space on the seventh floor of a building on Princess Street in Manchester city centre. The office has room for up to 100 staff and includes a creator studio, gym and event space.

The agency says the move is not a retreat from Sheffield but a graduation from it.

While based in Sheffield, Rise at Seven trained more than 250 graduates, many of whom are now directors, run global accounts or are leading the agency’s growth in New York and Europe. The agency says Manchester will bring that alumni network and senior talent together, with better connections, closer to global clients and in the UK’s strongest digital talent pool.

Since January 2026 the agency has taken on more than 20 staff in the UK and US and won seven household-name clients. It has also focused its offer on category leadership and multi-channel search.

Senior hires include Matt Holmes, formerly of PrettyLittleThing, who becomes executive director for integrated strategy, and Hollie Lovell, formerly of Social Chain, as resource director.

Clients include Red Bull, SIXT, Capital One, JD Sports and Shark/Ninja. The agency was founded in 2019 by Carrie Rose and now employs 80 people in the UK and US, with offices in Manchester, London and New York. Its services span integrated search, social, digital PR and content strategy.

Rose, founder and chief executive, said: “Sheffield was where we started – hungry, ambitious, building something from nothing. We trained over 250 people there. Some are now directors. Some are running global accounts. Some are out in New York building the next chapter of this business.

“Manchester has always been at the heart of Rise. This move gives us the space to keep building something that matters – not just for our team, but for the brands we work with globally. We’re proud to be planting our flag here.”
