Rise & Amplify hires freelance creative Dean Spicer as creative director
The Altrincham agency brings in a former Myprotein, Jaywing and TBWA creative to lead its team through a three-year growth plan.
Altrincham agency Rise & Amplify has appointed Dean Spicer as creative director.
Spicer will head the agency’s creative team. He joins after four years as a freelancer, during which he worked on brands including JLR, the NBA, FIFA, Carlsberg and Bose.
Before going freelance he held senior creative positions at Myprotein, Refinery, Jaywing, the Greater London Authority, Agency TK and TBWA.
“Once I met the team, it was frankly far too good an opportunity to pass up. It’s been a fantastic four and a bit years working with some great clients across in-house and agency teams for global brands, but I’m delighted to get stuck into my new role at Rise & Amplify,” Spicer said.
He said co-founder Tom Denton had built “an agency like no other”, adding: “It’s highly strategic, creatively focused and centred on strong relationships. Clients stay close to the creatives working on their business. Nothing gets lost in translation.”
A three-year plan
Co-founder Tom Denton said the hire comes as the agency begins to deliver its three-year plan.
“Dean’s appointment marks an important step for Rise & Amplify. He’ll lead our creative vision as we put our three-year plan into action, bringing a wealth of senior experience and a clear point of view to the team,” he said.
“He understands how to make ambitious ideas work in the real world, and that’s exactly what we need as we grow.”
