everplay shares hit 52-week high as Wakefield games firm expects to beat forecasts

The former Team17 says revenue and adjusted EBITDA for 2026 will be ahead of expectations after strong launches for Wardogs and Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

Wardogs video game

everplay group, the Wakefield video games developer formerly known as Team17, saw its shares reach a 52-week high of 462p this morning when it said FY 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA would be ahead of market expectations, which stand at £197.6m and £57.2m respectively.

In its trading update, everplay said trading had stayed “very strong” since it published its interim results.

Both Wardogs and Hell Let Loose: Vietnam are performing ahead of expectations, it said, while its back catalogue continues to hold up.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has recently passed one million sales on PC and console. Around three million copies of multiplayer first-person shooter Wardogs have been sold in Early Access on PC, a total it reached on its first day on sale earlier this month.

First-half results

For the six months to 30 June 2026, unaudited group revenue fell eight per cent to £66.9m, from £72.4m in H1 2025. Stripping out the effect of leaving Astragon’s low-margin physical distribution business, the fall was five per cent.

Pre-tax profit dropped 89 per cent to £1.6m, from £14.3m.

Speaking when the half-year results were released, group CEO Mikkel Weider said: “Our back catalogue posted another resilient performance in a half in which there were no major new releases, underpinning the solid foundations upon which everplay is built.

“At the same time, the teams have been laser focused on preparing for our key releases in the second half. We have entered the period with real momentum, and feel confident in materially exceeding market expectations for the full year.

“I am pleased to share that our major new releases, including Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and Wardogs, are performing well ahead of our expectations, breaking many sales and player number records. I am also delighted to say that we have exercised our option to increase our shareholding in Super Media Group, owners of Bulkhead – the team behind Wardogs. We have long admired this team, and we are thrilled to further strengthen our relationship and support them on their journey.

“I’d really like to thank everyone at everplay and our partners for their hard work and dedication so far this year, and welcome everyone who has joined the group, including Jon Rissik as chief growth officer. With a strong balance sheet, resilient catalogue, growing portfolio of first-party IP and innovative third-party games, we are well positioned to deliver accelerated growth.”
