Leeds animation and post-production studio Little Motel has closed, announcing the news over the bank holiday weekend.
In a LinkedIn post, the boutique agency said: “We are incredibly saddened to announce that Little Motel has closed its doors for the final time.”
It thanked everyone who had been involved over its 11 years, from current and former staff to clients, freelancers, work experience placements, advisers, friends and family.
The post said: “What started over a decade ago, sat around a kitchen table, blossomed into something we could only dream of. We look back with overwhelming pride at what we accomplished as a team, but of course with a tinge of sadness that it’s come to an end.”
It added: “While there’s no more vacancies at our Little Motel, keep an eye out for our fantastic, passionate, award-winning team to see what great things they get up to next.” The message named team members Matt Cochrane, Leigh Harrison, Amy Garrod and Thomas Gamble, and was signed off by Matt and Leigh.
Little Motel’s clients included sustainable travel company Hop, Leeds Playhouse and charities such as Christians Against Poverty and Leeds homelessness charity St George’s Crypt.
