The Newcastle software group reported statutory operating profit up 17 per cent to £530 million for the year to 30 September.
Sage Group has reported revenue above £2.5bn for the year to 30 September 2025, with the Newcastle software company crediting AI for part of its growth.
Revenue rose eight per cent to £2.513bn, while statutory operating profit increased 17 per cent to £530 million.
The company said it is “well positioned” for growth as demand for its systems rises, and that its AI agents and its Copilot-branded assistant for automating finance and accounting tasks are “creating significant opportunity”.
Chief executive Steve Hare said: “Sage delivered another good performance in FY25. Strong, broad-based revenue growth and significant margin expansion reflect our focus on strategic execution, our resilient business model, and continuing investment in our products, our platform and our people.
“We are excited by the pace of technological change. AI is opening up new possibilities for businesses and creating a significant opportunity for Sage, enabling us to enhance and accelerate the benefits our software provides. Sage Copilot is already creating value, helping customers make smarter decisions and be more productive, while our launch of AI agents is delivering the next wave of intelligent solutions.
“With our global platform, trusted brand and focused innovation strategy, Sage is exceptionally well positioned to support small and mid-sized businesses as they adopt AI-enabled services. This drives confidence in our ability to deliver strong, sustainable growth and long-term value for all stakeholders.”
Sage joined the London Stock Exchange in 1989 and started to expand overseas in the early 1990s.
Based at Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside, it serves millions of customers across Asia, Africa, Australia, Latin America and mainland Europe. Its other Northern base is in Manchester, and it has offices in London, Bristol and Wokingham.
